Claim Central New Zealand’s rapid growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Desktop Assessor with strong building and/or plumbing background. You will be using state of the art technology, accurately estimating damage and repair costs from your desk.

Your new role:

  • Join a newly formed, close knit team that has rapidly expanding opportunities.
  • Project manage your own portfolio of work
  • Create assessments for insurance claims via a live video streaming platform
  • Review video/photos of damage to generate a scope of works and estimate repair costs
  • Quote repair costs using our internal quoting system in line with industry benchmarks
  • Review, cost and manage submitted variations
  • Investigate and respond to any client issues immediately and escalations. 

Your experience:

  • 3-5 years building and/or plumbing experience with a strong working knowledge of the industry
  • Trade qualifications and/or Construction Degree/Certificate (desirable)
  • Some knowledge of the insurance market would be adventageous
  • Excellent relationship management skills with ability to quickly build rapport with clients and team
  • Ability to work autonomously and achieve team results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with extensive computer literacy
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail with efficient time management skills
  • Have a demonstrated track record of performance against targets/deadlines/KPI’s
