Business Analyst
Full Time - Parramatta, NSW

ClaimLogik is part of the Claim Central group of companies. Claim Logik is a technology company that designs, develops and sells innovative solutions combining Supplier Management and Fulfilment Management platforms. Our products are used by insurance and property repair management organisations globally.

Our vision is for an integrated marketplace that enables all stakeholders of an insurance claim to interact collaboratively, in order to drive best in class Cost, Quality & Lifecycle outcomes.

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst who has demonstrable experience in Business Process Engineering/ Re- engineering. Experience  gained within an Insurance Company or a Services Provider into Insurance companies would be well regarded.A good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and the role that a Business Analyst plays within that environment is essential.

The role involves creating and maintaining Business Requirements for functional enhancements to the ClaimLogik SaaS solution. Supporting the development team throughout the development lifecycle and developing and maintaining and execute test scripts associated with any functional enhancement of the ClaimLogik solution.

The Business Analyst is expected to be the go-to person for the Developers for questions and business direction.  

Additionally they will need to possess:
  • An ability to work with SME's from within the services business and external partners and clients to conceptualize, develop and deliver business requirements within the SDL process;
  • Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities, with a flexible and adaptive approach to maximize positive business outcomes;
  • The ability to recognize business opportunities from a big picture perspective, whilst understanding impacts at an operational level;
  • An innovative, creative mindset in identifying opportunities and solving problems, with an attached sense of practicality;
  • Reporting and analytically savvy, understanding the relevant measures to indicate true business performance;
  • An ability to develop and articulate strategies that consider existing models, and provide solutions to enhance current processes;
  • An understanding of Business Analysis techniques and Testing processes
  • Advanced level skills in using Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Word and Visio
  • Experience liaising with key stakeholders, including Senior Management
  • An understanding of SQL
  • An understanding of web technologies

As a Business Analyst in the Product Development team, you must bring in tangible experience, insight, and credibility in the insurance domain.  This is critical, the role is a hands on Insurance Business Analyst whom can provide domain led thought leadership and has the ability to deep dive into Insurance claims processes with an emphasis on Property and Motor Claims fulfilment. Having an understanding of the various stakeholders in the claims process from Assessors and Adjustors through to the supply chain such as builders, trades, suppliers, repairers etc will be highly regarded.

 

We are also looking for the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent communication (including listening) and problem solving skills are essential. This role requires effective communication between SME's and Developers to deliver functional enhancements to the SaaS solutions.
  • You must be able to work in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment, and be high on drive and initiative. This role will require flexibility in terms of working location, the candidate will be required to work out of both our Matraville and Brookvale offices and require some travel to client locations.  You must also be able to work as part of a geographically dispersed internal team where members will be spread across the Philippines and Australia.
  • You should be able to conceptualize, analyse and create business requirements that are at the appropriate level for developers to understand and complete coding.
  • Experience should include working with Visio Essential
  • Enterprise Architect would be desirable but not essential
  • SCRUM agile development methodologies would be well regarded
  • Atlassian JIRA/ Confluent would also be desirable.
